What to know about Michigan card shops

Card shops across Michigan with a storefront you can walk into, from metro Detroit and Grand Rapids to Lansing, Flint, Kalamazoo, Ann Arbor and up north to Traverse City and the U.P. Each listing says what the shop carries, based on what the shop publishes itself.

Metro Detroit has the most shops in the state, and many of them are in Macomb County. Harper Avenue in Saint Clair Shores has three, and there are more in Sterling Heights, Clinton Township and along Gratiot in Chesterfield. On the west side, Livonia, Garden City and Novi have TCG stores that carry Pokémon, Magic and Lorcana, and Oakland County has sports card shops in Clawson, Berkley and Rochester.

West Michigan is the other big cluster. Grand Rapids and its suburbs have sports card counters and game stores, several of them along 28th Street, and Galactic Toys & Games has stores in Kentwood and Walker. Muskegon, Holland, Zeeland and Hudsonville each have shops of their own.

In the middle of the state, Lansing has several shops, Kalamazoo and Portage have sports card shops along Westnedge Avenue, and Flint, Saginaw and Midland cover the I-75 corridor. Ann Arbor, Ypsilanti, Brighton and Howell fill in the southeast. Up north there are shops in Traverse City, Manistee and Alpena, and in the U.P. in Escanaba and Houghton.
